What’s In a Name? October 8, 2007

“What you think of a name depends so much on the people you know by that name”  – Doug McClure

If you’re a parent, you remember this all too well.  You’re anxiously (or desperately/dreadingly/insert own adjective here) awaiting the arrival of the lil’ bugger, dreaming of your old hourglass figure while stuffing your face with Chubby Hubby Ice Cream (out of the carton of course), and flipping through the pages of a Baby Name book.  You say to your husband:

Wife:  “What about “Mya” if we have a girl?”

Husband:   “You’re kidding me, right?  She was such a b****, and that’s even with a capital B!”

Wife:  “Ok then…how about Beth?”

Husband:  “Hunny …that’s why I love you.  You’re always trying to pull my leg.  Like I would name my daughter after my clingy ex!”

After months of the name game (or if you’re like us – a couple days after the birth) you finally decide on the perfect name.  One that doesn’t remind you of the slut that stole your boyfriend or the one your husband lost his virginity too, or the asshole that dumped you on your voicemail…on your birthday!  So let’s celebrate your child’s perfect name this week and all the other loved ones in our lives!

GOTTA MAKE IT:  HANGING LETTER

Hanging Letter

This has been an extremely popular gift for babies and young children…you can’t go wrong with this one!  Want to make it yourself, but need a little guidance on the steps?  Just let me know and I will be happy to send you a “How To”.  Like it, but just don’t have the time to do it yourself?  Let me know and I will send you a free quote!  The recipient of this (or their parents) will rave to everyone about this hand-made gift.
